Discover some of the Island’s best, sampling traditional hard ciders and wines at estates nestled alongside our local country roads. The warm hospitality of the local vintners reflects the easy going island lifestyle – where they are happy to share their passion, knowledge and expertise with visitors.
Sharing similar growing conditions as the northern regions of Germany & France our warm summers, temperate mild winters and gravelly soils suit some recognizable grape varietals like Pinot Gris, Pint Noir and more unique varietals Ortega, Marechal Foch as well as some fabulous blackberry dessert wines. Traditional apple ciders vary from a dry cider to dessert style ciders.
Afternoon tours are offered Wednesday to Sunday in season including three leisurely visits at neighbouring wineries & a traditional Cidery. The option of full day tours is available on weekends during the regular season. Full day tours include visits to three wineries and a traditional hard apple cidery with time to stop for lunch along the way. Enjoy lunch overlooking the vineyards with offerings of locally produced seasonally inspired cuisine.
Tours include pick up and drop off at central downtown locations, tasting charges at all locations and a vineyard tour. We have not included lunch in the tour price leaving your lunch selection up to each individual.
Full day departing mid morning and afternoon tours departing 1:00 pm are available.
